Interest:  Heterocellular communication in the vasculature

I am interested in understanding the signaling process and organization at the myoendothelial junctions and the possible way in which connexin phosphorylation (or other modifications) may alter the signaling.  I am also interested in the way in which connexins may play a role in the development of atherosclerosis.  The lab is organized so that each member of the team has a distinctive input into deciphering these problems, regardless of the actual focus.
